I’m a former airline pilot (began flying in 1971), Flight Instructor, FAA Safety Instructor, and an active Adjunct Professor in the Aviation academic curriculum at a State University. I learned early on what the effects of high altitudes were, and the accompanying risk of hypoxia when it came to pilots. In 2015, while teaching a course at the University regarding Flight Physiology, I became even more interested in hypoxia and its effects on not only pilots but the general public. After continued research, I read more and more documented cases of people being overcome by hypoxia and became increasingly alarmed by the risk of an accident or injury that can result from this condition. It was then that I realized that there was a problem that needed a solution. The solution was an early warning detection system, which gave birth to the creation of Life Catcher ™.
